Senior Risk Manager - Crypto/Derivatives
One of the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holders is looking to hire a Senior Risk Manager to help build and lead its U.S. risk function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for monitoring the companies market, liquidity, and counterparty risks. Overseeing the firms digital assets including derivatives and their related hedging activities. Working closely with with trading, treasury, finance, operations and senior stakeholders to play a key role in establishing the firms risk controls, frameworks, reporting, and governance processes.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in market risk, trading, quant risk or portfolio risk. With strong derivatives exposure such as options or futures. Any hands on experience with digital assets is a plus, as well as counterparty, collateral or liquidity risk.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage risk across digital asset, options, futures, and derivatives portfolios.
- Develop risk frameworks, limits, controls, stress testing methodologies, and governance processes.
- Oversee liquidity, collateral, counterparty, and operational risk across trading activities.
- Produce risk reporting and provide strategic guidance to senior management on key exposures and emerging risks.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in market risk, trading risk, quantitative risk, or portfolio risk.
- Strong understanding of options, futures, volatility, hedging, and risk analytics.
- Experience challenging trading activities and overseeing complex portfolios within a bank, hedge fund, asset manager, prop trading firm, or digital asset organization.
- Exposure to cryptocurrency or digital asset markets is preferred.
