Senior Infrastructure Engineer
In this role, you will work across modern Windows and Linux estates, hybrid infrastructure, security fundamentals, virtualisation, backup & recovery, DR/BC, automation, and observability.
You'll partner with application teams, Security, business stakeholders, and managed service providers to ensure services are highly available, recoverable, observable, compliant, and ready for audit under DORA, DNB, and EBA expectations.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen LAN/WAN environments, segmentation, firewalls, VPN, load balancing and redundancy (Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Operate and enhance VMware, Hyper‑V and HA compute platforms.
- Manage clusters, templates, migrations (vMotion/Live Migration), snapshots, patching, and performance tuning.
- Improve backup, retention, encryption, immutability and recovery processes (Comm vault, Azure, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Support on boarding & life cycle of key banking systems (SWIFT, screening, payments).
- Automate controls using Power Shell, Python, Bash
- 10+ years in Infrastructure, Systems, Platform Engineering or SRE
- Strong communication & cross‑team collaboration skills.
- Comfortable in distributed teams; self‑driven and team‑oriented.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Azure Expert/Solutions Architect (AZ‑305), AZ‑900/700/104, AWS SAA‑C03, AWS Cloud Ops SOA‑C03.

- Open Shift/Kubernetes operations
- Citrix / RDS experience
- Azure and/or AWS hands‑on experience
- Basic M365/Exchange infrastructure knowledge
- Experience with DORA
