An established and growing real estate investment, development, and property management organization is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This position offers an opportunity to play a key role in financial reporting, corporate accounting, and multi-entity financial management while supporting a dynamic portfolio of assets and investments.
The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing general ledger activity, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This individual will analyze financial performance, perform detailed account reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, general ledger management, and preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Strong understanding of account reconciliations and compliance with accounting principles and reporting standards.
- Highly detail-oriented with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented, on-site work environment.
- Excellent organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in property management, multifamily housing, or real estate accounting is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) and Microsoft Excel, including complex spreadsheets and financial reporting functions.
