Private Equity Associate Overview:
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Equity Associate to join the investment team. The Associate will play a critical role in evaluating new investment opportunities, executing transactions, and supporting portfolio company growth initiatives. This position offers hands-on experience, significant exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the firm's success.
Private Equity Associate Key Responsibilities:
Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis (DCF, LBO, comparable companies), and due diligence on potential investments
Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to the investment committee
Monitor portfolio company performance and assist with strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and follow-on investments
Support deal sourcing efforts through industry research, networking, and outreach
Collaborate with internal team members, portfolio company management, and external advisors
Private Equity Associate Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus
Familiarity with the lower middle market and a genuine interest in private equity investing
