A global, independent investment management firm is seeking a mid-level business development professional to support the expansion of its client base across the Nordic region. The role will be based in Copenhagen and is ideal for a tenacious, entrepreneurial individual with a strong understanding of asset management and a passion for building relationships.
Role Overview:
The client is looking to grow its presence in the Nordic markets and is hiring a business developer with 5-10 years of experience in asset management or institutional sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, deepening relationships with institutional investors, and promoting the firm's range of actively managed equity and convertible bond strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a business development strategy for the Nordic region, with a focus on institutional and wholesale investors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pension funds, insurance companies, consultants, and family offices.
- Represent the firm's investment capabilities, including value & income, emerging markets, sustainable and thematic equities, and global convertible bonds.
- Collaborate closely with investment teams and marketing to tailor messaging and materials for the Nordic audience.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance visibility and engagement in the region.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5-10 years of experience in asset management, institutional sales, or business development.
- Strong understanding of the Nordic institutional landscape and a proven ability to build relationships in the region.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starting approach to business development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in a Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian) is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to be based in Copenhagen and travel across the region as needed.
