Municipal Credit Analyst

Position Overview:
The firm is looking for an Analyst that has prior experience working with Municipal Bonds. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, financial analysis, and portfolio management to support our investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fundamental credit analysis on an initial and ongoing basis for investment grade municipal credits across the municipal sector for tax-exempt and taxable bond portfolios
- Make security and sector positioning recommendations to the Municipal Team based on fundamental credit and relative value analysis
- Perform surveillance of existing holdings to determine if changes in security positioning are necessary
- Monitor developments that affect the municipal market (legislation, rating agency views, court cases
- Sourcing and trading both taxable and municipal fixed income securities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment analysis, with a experience with Municipal Bonds.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar financial research tools.
