Macro Vol Quant Researcher - Rates/ Equity Vol
A prestigious, multi-manager hedge fund with +$15Bn AuM is looking to grow an established mid-frequency macro team based in London. The team currently runs non-linear FX strategies.
The Senior Portfolio Manager is looking for top talent to lead their expansion across rates and equity vol. The ideal hires would come from top performing hedge funds, have experience working on systematic equity and rates vol strategies, and be confident in their ability to contribute to a new team.
The hedge fund prides itself on its high-quality data, robust infrastructure, and competitive salaries. In this pod, the right candidate would be leading the pod's build out across specific asset classes, with the opportunity to collaborate with other senior Quant Researchers/PMs.
Responsibilities
- Working alongside the PM on alpha research, from idea generation to back-testing for systematic macro strategies.
- Managing the entire trading process for rates/equity vol strategies from end-to-end.
- Contributing to the research and trading pipeline, including Risk and Factor Modelling.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Engineering from a top ranked university.
- 3-6 years' experience with rates/ equity vol strategies doing alpha research.
- Demonstrated ability to harness large datasets to find alpha signals.
- Capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong coding skills in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, Matlab, and /or C++, C#.
