Position Overview
This role supports the execution, enhancement, and governance of the Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) process for a growing (re)insurance platform. Sitting at the intersection of actuarial modeling, financial reporting, and process improvement, the position offers direct exposure to Bermuda‑based actuarial teams, auditors, and regulators. The analyst will contribute to quarterly and annual EBS production, analyze and explain model results, support new reinsurance transactions, and help strengthen the overall control framework.

This is a high‑visibility opportunity for someone early in their actuarial career who is eager to deepen their technical skill set and understanding of life and annuity products. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support annual and quarterly EBS production cycles
  • Partner with Bermuda actuarial teams to analyze and explain model results, including base and sensitivity/stress runs
  • Contribute to process improvements by building tools to streamline EBS workflows
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of internal controls over the EBS process
  • Prepare process and control documentation for internal and audit use
  • Execute validation and UAT procedures related to EBS enhancements
  • Onboard new reinsurance transactions into the EBS framework
  • Prepare documentation and support audit and regulatory requests

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in the life (re)insurance or annuity industry
  • ASA (or equivalent) or actively pursuing Associate designation
  • Exposure to SOX controls and compliance preferred
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power Query experience a plus
  • Programming experience a plus, with preference for Python
  • Experience with actuarial modeling software preferred (MG‑ALFA a plus)
