A dynamic and fast-growing real estate investment firm headquartered in Washington, DC, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional returns across a diversified portfolio is looking to add a Head of Capital Formation to their team.
The Head of Capital Formation will lead capital raising efforts and investor relations strategy. This executive will play a pivotal role in scaling the investment platform by cultivating relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
The Head of Capital Formation will be responsible for:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive capital formation strategy aligned with the firm's growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective investors, including institutional LPs, wealth managers, and private capital sources.
- Lead fundraising initiatives for new funds, co-investments, and separate accounts.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape fund structures, marketing materials, and investor communications.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor meetings, and networking events.
- Oversee investor due diligence processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Head of Capital Formation should have:
- 10+ years of experience in capital raising, investor relations, or investment banking, preferably within real estate or private equity.
- Proven track record of raising institutional capital and managing investor relationships.
- Deep understanding of real estate investment structures, fund formation, and capital markets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CFA preferred.
