Chartering Executive - Global Commodity Trading Firm
Our client is a global commodity trading firm, and we are seeking a Junior Charterer to join the Business. This role is part of the Business' expansion plans in Singapore.
Responsibilities for the Chartering Executive - Global Commodity Trading Firm:
- Manage the commercial vessels including shipping operations with a focus on chemical tankers and CPP cargoes
- Responsible for vessel nomination, daily vessel operations, fixing, etc.
- Negotiate and review charter party terms with counterparties (e.g. Ship Owners, Brokers)
- Liaise internally with stakeholders (Trades, Operators) to ensure smooth and timely execution of trade flows and physical trade deals
- Keep abreast on freight market trends through research and market analyses
Requirements for the Chartering Executive - Global Commodity Trading Firm:
- Bachelor's in a related field e.g. Maritime and Shipping studies
- At least 2-4 years of chartering experience
- Knowledge of CPP and chemical tanker markets is preferred
- Self-starter ability and strong teamwork skills, able to work in a fast paced environment.
