Job Opportunity: Actuarial Production Associate

Position Summary: Located in the Boston, MA office, this role supports the execution and testing of models, particularly Cash Flow Testing (CFT) models for the Annuity and Life Insurance business. The candidate will manage 2-3 direct reports and collaborate with the Model Production team to execute and test CFT models, review and analyze results. They will work closely with Model Development, the Appointed Actuary, and the CFT team to produce quarterly CFT results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform accurate quarterly Cash Flow Testing Integrate production runs for Retail and Institutional Life & Annuities.
  • Prepare input files, execute CFT Integrate runs, validate model inputs and outputs, and perform high-level results analysis.
  • Build Cash Flow Testing production control processes.
  • Maintain evidence for SOX controls associated with CFT production model runs.
  • Test model updates implemented by the Model Development team.
  • Provide CFT impacts from model changes and support the review and approval of those changes.
  • Support audit and regulatory requests related to CFT Integrate runs.
  • Assist the Model Production team with monthly/quarterly GAAP and STAT reporting deliverables.
  • Manage 2-3 direct reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related fields.
  • FSA with 5+ years or career ASA with 10+ years of actuarial experience in the life insurance and retirement industry.
  • Direct experience with life and annuity products, US Statutory and GAAP valuation.
  • Preferred understanding of assets and ALM modeling.
  • Required experience with MG-ALFA or other actuarial modeling and valuation software.
  • Familiarity with programming languages, mainly VBA and Python.
  • Strong communication, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Personal accountability for execution of goals and objectives.
  • Ability to generate new and unique ideas.
  • Positive attitude and strong team player.
