Accounting Manager

Job Description

  • Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close, reviewing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and MD&A.
  • Supervise and mentor onshore/offshore accounting staff, providing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Review and approve BlackLine tasks, Concur/Bill.com workflows, and other financial system activities.
  • Monitor cash reporting, bank activity, and integration-related tasks to ensure accuracy and proper tracking.
  • Partner with business units to resolve discrepancies, clarify financial data, and maintain customer‑service‑focused communication.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and compliant financial reports.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Identify process gaps and lead improvements to strengthen workflow efficiency and data integrity.
  • Coordinate with Treasury, Finance, and cross‑functional teams on integrations, system updates, and bank account closures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA‑track preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or team‑lead responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience managing monthly/quarterly close processes and reviewing reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting tools (e.g., BlackLine, Concur, Bill.com, Excel).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop both onshore and offshore team members.
