Overview:
Our client, a $90B+ AUM private credit investment firm, is looking to add a Senior Associate or Vice President to their Asset-Based Finance (ABF) team. This is an ideal opportunity for a credit-trained investor looking to step into a more externally facing, origination-focused role while continuing to build strong structuring and execution experience.
The platform is well-established, with deep capital markets capabilities and a robust pipeline of specialty finance and ABL opportunities. This hire will play a key role in supporting deal sourcing efforts, while also contributing to underwriting, structuring, and execution across a wide range of private credit transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support senior team members with deal origination, including evaluating inbound opportunities and building relationships with borrowers, sponsors, and partners.
Contribute to deal structuring, credit analysis, and financial modeling across asset-based and specialty finance investments.
Draft and help negotiate term sheets, credit memos, and legal documentation, including intercreditor and loan agreements.
Collaborate closely with internal legal, capital markets, and portfolio management teams to bring transactions from initial diligence through close.
Maintain deep familiarity with transaction documents and assist in the credit approval process.
Participate in ongoing portfolio monitoring and performance evaluation, as needed.
Candidate Profile:
4-8 years of relevant experience in private credit, asset-based lending, structured credit, or leveraged finance.
Strong credit underwriting and analytical background; ideally with exposure to asset-backed or specialty finance deals.
Desire to gain more responsibility in origination, structuring, and legal negotiation.
Highly organized, intellectually curious, and proactive, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with significant deal exposure.
