They bring together top-tier talent in mathematics, computer science, and engineering to solve complex challenges and drive innovation. The firm fosters a collaborative, intellectually rigorous environment where curiosity, creativity, and continuous improvement are central to success. About the Role
My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Risk Manager to join their global team. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, efficiency, and operational integrity of trading activities across multiple asset classes. It's an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong risk management and technical skills who thrive in fast-paced, high-performance environments.

During onboarding, the schedule will follow a standard Monday-Friday format before transitioning to either Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday. Candidates must be comfortable with this structure and able to reliably support weekend trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage daily and real-time risk across multiple asset classes.
  • Collaborate with global teams in trading, operations, technology, treasury, and compliance.
  • Use Python, SQL, and Excel to analyze large datasets, build risk reports, and automate workflows.
  • Support post-trade processes including trade reconciliation, issue resolution, and clearing optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve risk and operational processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in risk management or trading operations at a high-performance financial institution (e.g., hedge fund, asset manager, proprietary trading firm, or investment bank).
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field; advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
  • Experience with at least one major asset class and a desire to expand into others.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and SQL; Linux/Unix familiarity is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with post-trade clearing systems or resolving trade breaks.
  • Familiarity with risk modeling techniques such as VaR or portfolio analytics.
  • Exposure to 24/7 trading environments or weekend support operations.
