Senior Model Validation Quant, eFX / eFI
A Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking a Senior eFI/eFX Algorithmic Model Validator to take a leading role in the independent review and challenge of its front‑office electronic trading models across Rates and FX. This is a high‑visibility position within the bank's model risk function, responsible for ensuring that the mathematical foundations, implementation logic, and real‑time performance of the bank's execution algorithms meet the highest standards of accuracy, robustness, and regulatory compliance.
The role spans the full lifecycle of electronic trading models, from assessing the theoretical soundness of pricing components and signal‑generation frameworks to evaluating execution logic, market‑microstructure assumptions, and optimisation routines. You will be expected to design and implement challenger models, conduct rigorous statistical testing, analyse TCA outputs, and assess model behaviour under a wide range of market conditions. A key part of the role involves evaluating the speed, stability, and computational efficiency of the algorithms, ensuring they perform reliably in production and under stress.
As a senior validator, you will work closely with Quant Research, Algo Trading, Technology, and Model Risk Governance to challenge methodologies, identify weaknesses, and drive enhancements across the bank's electronic trading platform. You will contribute to the development of validation frameworks, documentation standards, and best‑practice guidelines for next‑generation execution models. The position offers exposure to cutting‑edge e‑trading architecture, cross‑asset algorithmic strategies, and the strategic build‑out of the bank's model risk capabilities.
This is an opportunity to influence the design and control environment of some of the most sophisticated electronic trading models in the industry, while operating at the intersection of quantitative research, risk management, and real‑time trading technology.
