Senior Actuary - Pricing

They are seeking a Senior Actuary to lead initiatives in product pricing, reinsurance strategy, in-force management, and product development. This high-impact role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and the chance to contribute to both new business and in-force operations across multiple insurance entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pricing for new and in-force products, primarily fixed annuities and pre-need/final expense life insurance.
- Oversee product design, implementation, and post-issue monitoring, including regulatory filings.
- Ensure accurate illustration and administration system testing.
- Analyze and manage reinsurance arrangements, including pricing and administration.
- Monitor competitive landscape, especially in the fixed annuity space.
- Develop and maintain pricing models and profitability metrics using GGY AXIS.
- Set pricing assumptions and evaluate capital usage for new products.
- Support core actuarial functions across subsidiaries (valuation, planning, risk management, etc.).
- Collaborate on high-profile projects with senior decision-makers.
- Work closely with marketing, distribution, accounting, and IT teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, finance, economics, or a related field.
- ASA or FSA designation.
- 5+ years of actuarial experience, ideally in pricing, product development, or reinsurance.
- Advanced proficiency in GGY AXIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Experience with fixed annuity products and relevant actuarial work preferred.
- Familiarity with pre-need or final expense life insurance is a plus.
- Knowledge of US Statutory and/or GAAP financial reporting preferred.
- A proactive mindset and comfort with a fast-paced, opportunity-rich environment.
