Director - Financial Advisory & Restructuring
Overview
A leading independent advisory firm is seeking a Director to support its growing financial advisory and restructuring practice. The firm works with companies, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders across a wide range of industries, providing services that may include restructuring, performance improvement, transaction support, litigation consulting, forensic analysis, and valuation.
Role Summary
The Director will work closely with senior leadership to manage complex engagements involving corporate restructuring, liquidity management, strategic assessments, and stakeholder negotiations. This individual will also collaborate with external advisors and client teams to drive engagement objectives and deliver analytical insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects across multiple workstreams.
- Evaluate companies, sectors, financial statements, and forward‑looking financial information.
- Perform a variety of financial and analytical tasks, including:
- financial modeling
- cash flow forecasting
- scenario and contingency analysis
- transaction and diligence support
- business plan assessments
- Analyze business strategies and long‑term viability; develop recommendations and support implementation efforts.
- Prepare client-facing presentations, reports, and other deliverables.
- Participate in business development efforts, including relationship building and support for marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in finance, accounting, consulting, or related fields, ideally including 3-5 years in restructuring, turnaround, or financial advisory.
- Experience in client service or consulting environments preferred.
- Strong project management abilities; experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
- Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable insights.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including proficiency with 3‑statement models, cash flows, and scenario analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Additional Skills
- Exposure to advanced quantitative modeling or statistical analysis.
- Experience with structured products, derivatives, or commodity markets.
Compensation
$185,000 - $225,000 Base
