Rates Sales
Overview:
Our client, a global financial institution is looking for an experienced and driven Rates Sales professional at VP or Director level to join its London-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating and deepening relationships with UK and Swiss institutional clients, with a particular focus on hedge funds and asset managers. The role centres on delivering tailored solutions across the Emerging Markets (EM) Rates product spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with institutional clients, primarily hedge funds and asset managers based in the UK and Switzerland.
- Drive sales and distribution of EM Rates products including bonds, swaps, FX-forwards, and structured solutions.
- Collaborate closely with trading, research, and structuring teams to deliver market insights and product ideas.
- Identify client needs and provide bespoke solutions aligned with their investment strategies and risk appetite.
- Maintain a strong understanding of macroeconomic trends and EM market dynamics to support proactive client engagement.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Rates Sales, with a strong focus on EM products.
- Proven track record of managing and growing institutional client relationships.
- Deep understanding of EM fixed income markets and related derivatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages (e.g. German, French) are a plus.
