A prestigious, Tier-1 Bank in London is looking for an algorithmic trader to join an expanding Equity Vol team within the Quantitative Investment Services business (QIS).
The team prides itself on a collaborative work environment, where each person has opportunities to act independently. The team will be developing and trading systematic strategies. The ideal hire is someone detail-oriented who is looking to develop under the guidance of a Director with an impressive background.
This is a role for a candidate looking for opportunities to apply their advanced mathematical skills to complex problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quantitative investment strategies in the equities market.
- Analyse market data to identify trading opportunities and risks.
- Manage portfolios and optimise trading algorithms based on market conditions.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Engineering from a top ranked university.
- 2-6 years' experience developing quantitative investment strategies with a focus on equities.
- Demonstrated ability to harness large data-sets to find alpha signals.
- Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, Matlab, and /or C++, C#.
