Manager of Financial Reporting
Position Overview
This role serves as the subject matter expert for insurance payer accounts receivable and supports leadership oversight of both domestic and offshore RCM teams. The Lead will guide staff, manage escalations, and collaborate with management to improve processes and identify payer trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and oversight to RCM team members, primarily offshore
- Evaluate operations and recommend technical solutions to improve performance
- Assign work, offer feedback, and ensure adherence to department protocols
- Handle escalated calls from patients and insurance companies
- Collaborate with supervisors to identify trends and implement improvements
- Support training efforts and assist with onboarding new employees
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on specific business issues
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve billing issues and reduce denials
- Investigate and resolve payer disputes and billing inaccuracies
- Develop and maintain SOPs and payer-specific job aids
- Provide feedback to leadership on payer performance and process gaps
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal policies
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training initiatives
Skills & Competencies
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Understanding of billing documentation and insurance processes
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare administration, billing, insurance, or customer service
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in HME, diabetic supplies, pharmacy, or home health billing in a Medicare-certified environment

- May experience fluctuating work volumes and stress
- Requires extended periods of sitting and computer use
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
- May interact with frustrated or upset patients/customers
- Requires mental focus for mentoring, analysis, and problem-solving
