HY/Distressed Credit Sales
Overview:
Our client is seeking a seasoned and commercially driven credit sales professional to join our Institutional Fixed Income Sales team, with a primary focus on High Yield. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of revenue generation, deep client relationships, and experience across the broader credit spectrum including Investment Grade, Crossover, Fallen Angels, Distressed Debt, and Emerging Markets.
This is a senior-level role with responsibility for leading client coverage, driving strategic growth, and contributing to the firm's credit distribution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sales and distribution of High Yield bonds, including new issues and secondary market opportunities.
- Originate and expand relationships with institutional clients across Real Money, Hedge Funds, Private Banks, and Family Offices.
- Collaborate with Trading, Syndicate, and Research to deliver tailored credit solutions.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across Investment Grade, Crossover, Distressed, and EM credit.
- Provide market intelligence and actionable insights to clients.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives including wallet share growth, client mapping, and product innovation.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Credit Sales, with a focus on High Yield and adjacent credit segments.
- Demonstrated success in revenue generation and client development.
- Strong institutional client network across UK, Europe, and/or Emerging Markets.
- Deep understanding of credit markets, structures, and investor needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
