C++ Engineer

Who We Are

Our client is a quantitative trading and technology firm dedicated to combining mathematical precision with cutting-edge computer science. They leverage advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence to drive investment decisions across global markets, applying sophisticated algorithms to financial datasets with extremely low signal-to-noise ratios.

Founded by industry leaders with world-class academic and technology backgrounds, the organization blends deep theoretical research with practical engineering excellence. Their approach centers on solving complex financial problems through high-performance systems, data-driven innovation, and continuous optimization - creating an environment where top engineering talent can thrive.

We Are Seeking: C++ Engineer

This role is ideal for a highly skilled C++ engineer capable of owning end-to-end development of mission‑critical trading systems - from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and optimization. You will partner closely with quantitative researchers to bring strategies into production, improve execution efficiency, and ensure system stability during live trading.

The strongest candidates come from top-tier hedge funds, quant shops, and HFT firms. Engineers from leading internet or fintech companies with deep C++ experience are also encouraged to apply. Fluency in both Chinese and English is required for seamless collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full product lifecycle for trading system components, including development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
  • Develop and maintain high-performance live trading systems for global equities and futures
  • Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers to deploy and iterate on strategies
  • Optimize execution across compute, storage, networking, and system architecture
  • Ensure reliability during live trading, including managing urgent production incidents
  • Continuously improve system robustness, performance, and monitoring

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional development experience (mandatory)
  • Expert-level proficiency in C++ (non-negotiable)
  • Strong experience with production-grade software in live or large-scale environments
  • Fluent in Chinese and English
  • Background ideally from:
    • Top hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, or HFT organizations (preferred), or
    • Leading internet/e-commerce companies (e.g., large-scale distributed systems) or fintech firms
  • Experience working with Linux, engineering best practices (Git, code reviews, CI/CD), and full lifecycle ownership
  • Bonus: Quant background, experience with trading systems, or mission-critical distributed systems

Highly Preferred Profiles

  • C++ engineers from hedge funds, quant trading firms, or HFT desks
  • Engineers with C++ experience from major e-commerce platforms, or large-scale internet companies
  • Crypto backgrounds only if strongly C++‑focused (not hardware/embedded)

Why Join Us

  • Build and own core components of live trading systems with real P&L impact
  • Collaborate with world-class researchers and engineers working at the cutting edge of ML and trading
  • High-ownership role in a deeply technical, performance-driven environment
  • Opportunity to shape systems and execution frameworks used in global markets
