Commercial Credit Risk Oversight Officer
A well-established financial institution is seeking a Commercial Credit Risk Oversight Officer to join its Enterprise Risk Management team. This role sits on the second-line and is responsible for providing oversight of the organization's credit risk framework, ensuring alignment with risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee portfolio-level credit risk across lending businesses.
- Monitor risk metrics, concentration trends, and emerging credit risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and challenge credit risk management practices, policies, and controls.
- Review credit risk reporting, stress testing, and risk modeling activities.
- Prepare and present risk reporting to senior management and board-level stakeholders.
- Partner with business leaders, risk management teams, audit, and regulatory stakeholders to strengthen overall risk governance.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in commercial credit risk management, enterprise risk, loan review, audit, or related banking functions.
- Strong understanding of credit risk governance, regulatory expectations, and risk management frameworks.
- Experience with portfolio analytics, risk reporting, and credit risk assessments.
- Exposure to stress testing, CECL, credit modeling, or related quantitative risk disciplines preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
