Associate 1 | M&A Generalist
Selby Jennings is partnering with a strong boutique investment firm to bring on a talented Senior Analyst or Associate.
They are lean, high-performing team of experienced bankers, so the role offers significantly more responsibility and senior-level exposure than a traditional large-bank seat. The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of key transaction workstreams and work directly alongside senior bankers throughout the deal lifecycle.
The firm maintains a generalist M&A and capital markets practice, working with companies across healthcare, technology, industrials, consumer products, and other sectors.
What you'll do:
- Execute M&A and capital markets transactions
- Build financial models and perform valuation analyses
- Create pitch books, CIMs, management presentations, and transaction materials
- Conduct company, industry, and market research
- Coordinate due diligence and manage transaction processes
- Work directly with senior bankers, management teams, buyers, investors, and other counterparties
- Participate in business development and new deal opportunities
What we're looking for:
- Previous investment banking experience
- Strong M&A and/or capital markets transaction experience
- Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding transaction environment
- Someone who is comfortable taking ownership and operating within a lean team
- Senior Analyst or Associate 1 level
