Role Overview
The role will lead institutional business development efforts across the Middle East, with responsibility for driving sustained asset growth and deepening strategic relationships with key regional investors. The individual will act as a senior representative of the firm's investment capabilities, engaging at the highest levels within institutional organisations and navigating complex capital‑raising processes across multiple product lines. This position requires exceptional commercial acumen, nuanced regional understanding, and the gravitas to influence decision‑makers across the institutional landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive regional distribution strategy to raise assets across a diverse suite of investment strategies.
- Build, strengthen, and institutionalise long‑term relationships with leading Middle Eastern investors, including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and prominent family offices.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end institutional sales cycle, from senior‑level origination and due diligence management to mandate onboarding and ongoing relationship stewardship.
- Partner closely with investment, product, legal, and operational teams to deliver bespoke solutions, ensuring alignment with client objectives and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a forward‑looking perspective on regional market dynamics, competitor activity, and investor sentiment, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; CFA designation strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience in institutional business development within the asset management industry.
- Demonstrated record of raising institutional capital from major Middle Eastern investors.
- Deep understanding of global investment products across equities, fixed income, and alternative asset classes.
- Superior communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to engage senior decision‑makers.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
