A leading global financial institution is seeking a senior credit risk leader to oversee a diversified portfolio of real asset-related exposures across North America. The role is responsible for managing a team of experience credit professionals covering sectors such as energy, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, commodities, and real estate. Working within the second line of defense, this individual will provide independent oversight of complex financing transactions and portfolio risks. The position plays a key role in setting risk appetite, approving credit exposures, and partnering with senior business stakeholders. Additionally, this person will shape credit policy, governance standards, and risk management practices across the platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team responsible for underwriting and monitoring real asset-related credit exposures
- Approve and oversee complex structured, project, and asset-backed financing transactions
- Partner with business leaders to identify emerging risks and support portfolio growth
- Contribute to risk governance, credit policy development, and new business initiatives
Qualifications
- 15+ years of credit risk experience covering project finance, infrastructure, asset-based finance, or related sectors
- Proven management experience leading teams of senior credit professionals
- Deep understanding of complex, real asset transactions and associated credit risks
- Strong credit judgment, stakeholder management, and risk governance expertise
