XVA Trader
Our client, a prominent European Bank is seeking a skilled and motivated XVA Trader to join its Frankfurt-based XVA desk within the Lending Division. This is a growth hire to support the existing lead and act as second-in-command on a global derivatives credit risk book. The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background and practical experience in pricing and risk management of derivatives, with a focus on XVA and collateral optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pricing and risk management of the derivatives portfolio, with a focus on XVA (CVA, FVA, MVA).
- Analyse new legal agreements (CSAs, BSAs) for economic and risk implications.
- Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure agreements align with internal risk appetite.
- Evaluate PnL impacts and economic viability of new trades and agreements.
- Assist in collateral optimisation across various regional agreements (e.g., RV, French, Swiss).
- Contribute to compression activity and warehouse money market loan management.
- Support the expansion of the commodity business into new agreement structures.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across Legal, Risk, and Capital Markets.
What were looking for:
- 4-6 years of experience in derivatives pricing, risk management, or XVA.
- Strong understanding of XVA and its economic implications.
- Proficiency in Python, VBA, Java, and SQL.
- Familiarity with collateral agreements (CSA, BSA) and optimisation strategies.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
