We are currently partnered with a leading private equity firm seeking a Vice President of Business Development to drive the firm's proprietary deal sourcing efforts.
Vice President of Business Development Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a proactive deal sourcing strategy across target sectors
- Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, M&A advisors, family offices, and entrepreneurs
- Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities aligned with the firm's investment thesis
- Collaborate with the investment team to assess opportunities and structure transactions
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to refine sourcing strategies
- Contribute to brand-building and thought leadership initiatives
Vice President of Business Development Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in private equity, corporate development, or M&A advisory
- Proven track record in deal origination and relationship management
- Deep understanding of private market transactions, valuation, and investment structures
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 75% monthly for meetings and events
