Overview
The Vice President of Asset‑Backed Securitization will play a key leadership role within the bank's Structured Finance platform. This individual will be responsible for leading deal execution, managing client relationships, structuring complex securitizations, and driving growth across key ABS verticals such as consumer, auto, equipment, SME, marketplace lending, and esoteric asset classes. The VP will partner closely with originators, credit, syndicate, sales and trading, and banking coverage teams to deliver fully integrated securitization solutions to issuers and investors.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Execution and Structuring
- Lead day-to-day execution of ABS transactions including term ABS, warehouse facilities, and forward flow arrangements.
- Develop and optimize transaction structures, cashflow models, and capital structures to meet client objectives and rating agency criteria.
- Coordinate due diligence processes across legal, credit, tax, and risk partners.
- Prepare and review offering documents such as OM/IM, term sheets, data tapes, and trustee documentation.
- Manage the rating agency process including data preparation, key assumptions, and structural discussions.
Client Coverage and Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for issuer clients, investors, and internal stakeholders.
- Advise clients on capital markets conditions, market precedent, regulatory trends, and structural alternatives.
- Support origination efforts by identifying new issuers, asset classes, and financing opportunities.
- Develop long-term client relationships and contribute to the team's revenue growth through repeat and cross-platform business.
Market Intelligence and Strategy
- Monitor and interpret ABS market activity including spreads, investor demand, comparable transactions, and regulatory developments.
- Provide insights to clients and internal leaders on market positioning and deal timing.
- Contribute to thought leadership materials, market updates, pitches, and strategic initiatives.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Syndicate and Sales to position transactions effectively with investors.
- Partner with Credit Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure strong governance and risk management.
- Mentor and oversee Analysts and Associates, providing training on modeling, structuring, and execution best practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in structured finance, securitization, or related capital markets disciplines.
- Strong transaction execution experience in ABS or adjacent areas (RMBS, CMBS, CLO, esoterics, or specialty finance).
- Advanced modeling skills including cashflow modeling and data analytics.
- Deep understanding of securitization structures, rating agency methodologies, regulatory frameworks, and asset‑level analytics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead client discussions and manage complex workstreams.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, deal-driven environments.
