Position Overview
The Vice President (VP) in Private Equity is a senior-level role responsible for leading deal execution, portfolio management, and strategic initiatives across investments. This position requires strong analytical skills, deep financial expertise, and the ability to manage complex transactions while building relationships with management teams, investors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing & Execution:
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities within target sectors.
- Lead due diligence processes, including financial modeling, market analysis, and risk assessment.
- Structure and negotiate transaction terms and financing arrangements.
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee performance of portfolio companies, ensuring value creation and strategic alignment.
- Collaborate with management teams to implement operational improvements and growth strategies.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Investor Relations & Fund Strategy:
- Support fundraising efforts and maintain strong relationships with limited partners (LPs).
- Contribute to fund strategy, sector focus, and investment thesis development.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Mentor associates and analysts, providing guidance on deal execution and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the investment team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- 7-10 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.
- Proven track record in deal execution and portfolio management.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
