Technology Risk Manager
A leading corporate bank is building out its Second Line Technology Risk capability. The team is looking for a Technology Risk Manager with a solid technical foundation who understands how ICT services are delivered and is keen to grow further.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Second Line oversight and challenge on technology and ICT risk across the Markets business
- Develop a solid understanding of the bank's ICT landscape, including applications, cloud, infrastructure, networking, cyber security and third‑party dependencies
- Review and challenge technology control design and effectiveness, including lifecycle management, vulnerabilities, end‑of‑life risk and resilience
- Support DORA implementation and ongoing compliance, with a practical focus on ICT risk management and operational resilience
- Act as a risk partner to Technology, Cyber and Architecture teams, asking the right questions and supporting risk‑based decision making
- Contribute to technology risk assessments, issue tracking, and remediation follow‑up from a 2LoD perspective
- Support regulatory interactions related to ICT and operational resilience (ECB / supervisory reviews), as required
- Prepare clear, concise risk input for senior stakeholders and internal risk forums
Key Requirements
- Approximately 7-10 years of experience in Technology Risk, IT Risk, Cyber Risk, or Technology Advisory, ideally within banking or regulated financial services
- Background in consulting or advisory environments strongly preferred
- Good understanding of ICT delivery models, including applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, networks, cyber security and third‑party services
- Exposure to first‑line technology, risk, or control environments, with an interest in building a longer‑term 2LoD career
- Working knowledge of DORA and regulatory expectations around ICT risk and resilience
- Curious, adaptable profile with the ability to learn quickly in a complex Markets technology environment
- Comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders and translating technical risk into clear risk language
