Sourcing Operations Associate
Our client, a Boston-based global investment firm, is seeking a highly organized Sourcing Operations Associate to support its Consumer and Technology private equity verticals. This is a dynamic, high-visibility role focused on CRM management, deal pipeline tracking, executive networking, and event coordination. The position offers exposure to investment processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update CRM systems (Affinity) with interactions, pipelines, and relationship data across the Consumer and Technology verticals
- Track executive movements, intermediary relationships, and competitive deal activity to support proactive sourcing strategies
- Coordinate with investment professionals to optimize meeting schedules, investor conference participation, and trip planning
- Support the creation and maintenance of pitch materials, vertical-specific content, and internal marketing tools
- Assist in screening target companies through data gathering, first-look analysis, and collaboration with research teams
- Help plan and execute executive events, including logistics, attendee management, and on-site support
- Partner with data science, research, and IT teams to identify and implement new sourcing tools and technologies
- Participate in vertical team meetings, ensuring follow-up actions are tracked and completed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic background
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales operations, or a related role
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Affinity, Salesforce)
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills
- Interest in private equity or investment management; experience with Pitchbook, Grata, or AI tools is a plus
