Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Overview
This role is part of a core Infrastructure team responsible for managing internal systems and platforms. The engineer will design, configure, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions across on-premise and cloud environments. A key focus is on advancing DevOps practices and supporting internal teams with reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain infrastructure solutions (on-premise and cloud).
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible, or Python.
- Provide Level 3 support and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and maintenance of Windows and Unix systems.
- Support application integration, including authorization, service configuration, and performance.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune).
- Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, ADFS, SSO, and related technologies.
- Identify and resolve infrastructure issues affecting application performance.
- Implement security best practices in CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy observability, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain technical documentation and support audit processes.
- Participate in on-call support rotation and occasional after-hours work.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in hybrid cloud environments (Windows/Linux).
- 3+ years with automation/IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- 4+ years scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Strong Microsoft system administration and PowerShell scripting skills.
- Experience with Kerberos, DNS, SSL, TCP/IP, and high availability systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise Microsoft technologies and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of SSO protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID) and identity platforms.
- Understanding of PKI, certificate management, and security protocols.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to strategic infrastructure goals.
- Experience in Agile environments.
Preferred Skills
- AWS IAM and SSO experience.
- Familiarity with platforms like Elasticsearch/Kibana, Artifactory, Anaconda.
- Experience with RedHat Linux and Active Directory integration tools.
