A global reinsurance company is looking for a Valuation Actuary with a strong background in life and annuity products to support critical corporate actuarial functions. What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and review life insurance reserves and actuarial values for Statutory, GAAP, and Tax reporting.
  • Improve and automate valuation processes to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
  • Build and maintain scalable infrastructure to support recurring financial reporting cycles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide actuarial insights to auditors, finance, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay current on industry regulations and help guide the team through changes.
  • Potentially lead and mentor junior actuarial staff.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the life/annuity insurance space.
  • ASA designation
  • Solid understanding of Statutory and US GAAP valuation principles.
  • Proficiency with actuarial valuation or projection software.
  • Familiarity with individual life insurance products.
  • ASA designation preferred (or progress toward it).
  • Experience with SAS or similar programming tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive mindset and a collaborative spirit.
