Private Equity Associate Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join their investment team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio support. The ideal candidate will be analytical, entrepreneurial, and passionate about building long-term value in founder-led and family-owned businesses.

Private Equity Associate Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and industry research to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support investment decisions.
  • Lead and support due diligence efforts, including operational, financial, and legal assessments.
  • Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal committees.
  • Collaborate with portfolio company management teams on strategic initiatives and performance tracking.
  • Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the deal process.

Private Equity Associate Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking and/or private equity.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated interest in lower middle market investing and operational value creation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong ties to the Southeast - (specifically Nashville)
