Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate or Vice President to join our Private Credit team, with a focus on Asset-Based Finance (ABF) and Specialty Finance investments. The role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing platform at one of the world's leading alternative asset managers, investing across a broad spectrum of structured credit, specialty lending, and esoteric asset classes.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Execution & Underwriting:
- Lead or support the underwriting of new ABF and specialty finance transactions, including detailed credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment.
- Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
Deal Sourcing & Origination:
- Develop and maintain relationships with originators, specialty lenders, banks, and intermediaries to source proprietary deal flow.
- Evaluate opportunities across a wide range of asset classes including consumer finance, SME lending, equipment leasing, litigation finance, royalty streams, and other esoteric assets.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor existing investments, including performance tracking, covenant compliance, and borrower engagement.
- Assist in portfolio reporting and valuation processes.
Market & Sector Analysis:
- Conduct thematic research and market analysis to identify emerging trends and niche opportunities within the ABF and specialty finance landscape.
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments and macroeconomic factors impacting the sector.
Qualifications:
- 3-8 years of relevant experience in private credit, structured finance, investment banking, or specialty lending.
- Strong understanding of asset-based lending structures, securitization, and specialty finance markets.
- Proven analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to assess complex credit situations.
- Experience negotiating term sheets and legal documentation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CFA a plus.
