With strong institutional backing and an active deployment pace, the platform is building out its San Francisco office to expand West Coast origination and execution capabilities. The team operates in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with significant exposure to senior decision-makers and a broad mandate across asset classes.
Role Overview
The firm is seeking investment professionals at the Associate to Vice President level to support underwriting, structuring, and execution of asset-backed and opportunistic credit transactions. Senior candidates (VP) will take on increased responsibility across deal execution, structuring, and origination, while more junior candidates (Associates) will focus heavily on underwriting, modeling, and transaction support.
This is a hands-on role with exposure to the full investment lifecycle, including origination, diligence, structuring, execution, and portfolio monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and execute asset-backed and structured credit investments across a range of sectors (equipment finance, digital infrastructure, specialty finance, and esoteric assets)
- Build and maintain detailed cash flow models, including scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate risk and return dynamics
- Conduct collateral-level analysis, portfolio stratifications, and diligence on underlying assets
- Structure transactions, including private credit facilities, forward flows, warehouse lines, and securitizations
- Lead or support end-to-end deal execution, including coordination with counterparties, advisors, and legal counsel
- Prepare investment committee materials and support internal approval processes
- Monitor portfolio investments and assess ongoing performance, risks, and amendments
- (VP level) Support origination efforts, including developing relationships with sponsors, originators, and intermediaries
- (VP level) Take increasing ownership of deal processes and mentor junior team members
Qualifications
- Associate: ~2-4 years of experience in structured credit, asset-backed finance, private credit, or investment banking
- Vice President: ~6-10+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated deal execution responsibility
- Experience across ABS, specialty finance, or structured transactions preferred
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including cash flow modeling and structuring
- Familiarity with securitization structures, warehouse facilities, or esoteric collateral is a plus
- Ability to operate in a lean, fast-paced environment with high levels of ownership
- Strong communication skills with ability to contribute to investment committee discussions
- CFA / CAIA or progress toward certification is a plus
