Plant Controller - Miami
Our client is a leading heavy manufacturing organization with a long-standing reputation for operational excellence, quality, and innovation. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Plant Controller to partner closely with plant leadership and drive financial performance across a large manufacturing facility.
The Plant Controller Will Be Responsible For:
- Leading all plant finance and accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and monthly financial reporting.
- Partnering with operations leadership to analyze manufacturing costs, improve profitability, and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Managing inventory controls, standard costing, variance analysis, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
- Preparing and presenting plant financial results, KPIs, and operational metrics to senior leadership.
- Supporting annual audits, capital expenditure planning, and internal control compliance initiatives.
- Developing and mentoring accounting and finance staff within the facility.
The Plant Controller Should Have The Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience supporting a large manufacturing plant or multi-site operation.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- Advanced ERP system experience and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
