Position: Operational Risk Analyst
As an Operational Risk Analyst, you will support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of an enterprise-wide operational risk management framework within the bank. The role involves close collaboration with business units to understand operational processes, assess risk exposures, and identify opportunities for control improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing the operational risk management framework, ensuring alignment with organizational risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
- Monitor reported operational risk events, conduct root cause analyses, and track remediation efforts to completion.
- Analyze operational risk data and trends to identify emerging risks and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare and deliver regular risk reports to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Maintain and test the inventory of end-user computing tools, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
- Perform quarterly calculations and reporting related to operational risk capital estimates, supporting documentation and audit readiness.
- Review and update internal procedures to reflect evolving practices and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to cross-functional risk initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience in operational risk, compliance, or internal audit within the financial services sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access, is preferred.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to upholding organizational values and ethical standards.
