New Business Sales Manager - Sell Side

Location: London or New York (Hybrid/in-person)

A global leader in market infrastructure is seeking a dynamic and results-driven New Business Sales Manager to join its Data & Analytics division. This role focuses on expanding the firm's footprint within the sell-side segment, targeting banks, broker-dealers, and other financial institutions. This hire will play a key role in driving revenue growth by introducing cutting-edge data solutions to new clients across global markets.

About the Role

This is a high-impact, front-line sales position within a fast-growing business unit. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new commercial opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, and delivering tailored solutions that address complex data and analytics needs. The role offers significant visibility and the chance to contribute directly to the strategic growth of a globally recognized brand in financial data services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective clients within the sell-side community, with a focus on building new relationships and uncovering untapped opportunities
  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to contract negotiation and close
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including SDRs and product specialists, to align client needs with the firm's data and analytics offerings
  • Deliver compelling, insight-driven presentations that demonstrate the value of the firm's solutions in addressing client challenges
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity, pipeline status, and client interactions using CRM tools
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets and contribute to the broader commercial strategy of the division

Required:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within financial services or capital markets, with a strong understanding of sell-side institutions
  • A track record of exceeding sales targets and driving new business in a competitive environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and articulate complex value propositions
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, and a data-driven approach to managing pipeline and performance
  • Knowledge of financial data, analytics, or fintech solutions is highly desirable
  • Experience in OTC derivatives markets is a strong advantage
