Model Risk Analyst


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and operate the ModelEdge platform, ensuring it supports all aspects of the Bank's model risk lifecycle - from inventory management to validation tracking and reporting.
  • Provide hands-on support to model owners, helping them maintain accurate model documentation, findings, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level reports and dashboards that communicate model risk status, performance indicators, and validation outcomes.
  • Support the model control framework, including model identification, risk rating, issue tracking, and remediation oversight.
  • Lead the quarterly model attestation process, coordinating with model owners to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage validation workflows, including the issuance, documentation, and resolution of findings.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and produce dashboards that highlight trends and emerging risks.
  • Oversee the User Developed Application (UDA) governance process, ensuring proper identification and ongoing monitoring.
  • Coordinate third-party model validations, including RFP development, scope definition, vendor selection, and quality assurance of deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years in Finance, Risk, or Accounting.
    • Experience with model risk management programs preferred.
    • Familiarity with GRC tools such as ModelEdge, Archer, ServiceNow, or SharePoint is a plus.
    • Experience managing large datasets and producing risk reports.
  • Skills:
    • Strong data management and analysis skills (Excel, SQL).
    • Solid understanding of banking products and risk concepts.
    • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
