A well-established, internationally active financial services firm is seeking a dynamic and strategic Managing Director to lead its Luxembourg operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the firm's growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with the organization's values and long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Luxembourg office, ensuring alignment with the group's global vision and objectives.
  • Oversee all operational, financial, and administrative functions, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Act as the primary representative of the firm to regulatory bodies, clients, partners, and other stakeholders in Luxembourg.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the firm's client base and service offerings.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and collaboration.
  • Ensure robust risk management practices and internal controls are in place and adhered to.
  • Collaborate with group-level leadership to contribute to global initiatives and share best practices across jurisdictions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in a senior leadership role within the financial services or wealth management sector, preferably in Luxembourg or a comparable jurisdiction.
  • Deep understanding of Luxembourg's regulatory environment, including CSSF requirements and cross-border financial services frameworks.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development, client relationship management, and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French, German, or Luxembourgish is considered an asset.
  • University degree in finance, economics, law, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are advantageous.
