IT Specialist - Selby Jennings
We're looking for a hands-on IT Specialist to join our team and take ownership of our IT operations, infrastructure, and end-user support.
What You'll Be Doing
IT Operations & User Support
- Deliver first- and second-level support across hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage user onboarding/offboarding, access rights, and system permissions.
- Maintain system availability through monitoring, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Act as the escalation point for critical IT incidents and drive swift resolutions.
- Work closely with vendors and MSPs while standardizing IT processes and documentation.
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Support and maintain servers, network devices, cloud services, and enterprise systems.
- Work with business-critical platforms including trading, market data, and portfolio systems.
- Execute system upgrades, patching cycles, and routine maintenance.
- Administer Microsoft 365/Azure environments, identity tools, and endpoint security.
- Champion digital workplace tools that boost collaboration and productivity.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Implement security controls and best practices aligned with internal and regulatory standards.
- Monitor threats, manage access controls, and maintain endpoint, vulnerability, and incident response processes.
- Conduct periodic audits and ensure compliance readiness. Projects & Continuous Improvements
- Lead regional IT initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and system migrations.
- Collaborate with business teams to translate operational needs into practical tech solutions.
- Drive automation, integration, and efficiency improvements.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation and configuration records.
Vendor & Asset Management
- Oversee IT procurement, vendor relationships, and licensing.
- Track IT assets, budgets, and lifecycle planning for cost‑efficient operations.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of hands-on IT support or infrastructure experience - financial services background preferred.
- Strong experience with Windows/Linux environments, Microsoft 365/Azure, and network infrastructure (firewalls, VPN, switching, Wi-Fi).
- Familiarity with enterprise applications, ITSM, and asset management tools.
- Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks.
- Proven project management abilities and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Independent, resourceful, and business-aligned mindset.
- Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment.
