IT Project manager
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Project Lifecycle Ownership
* Take full accountability for managing projects or a portfolio of related projects from initiation to closure.
* Define project goals, scope, deliverables, resources, schedules, and key milestones in alignment with business and technical priorities.
* Develop comprehensive project plans, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder communication frameworks to ensure transparency and alignment at all stages.
* Coordinate and align cross-functional resources across R&D, Product, QA, Operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery.
2. Outcome-Oriented Execution and Quantitative Measurement
* Translate business objectives into executable project plans and measurable outcomes.
* Use both qualitative and quantitative metrics to assess project efficiency, delivery quality, and business impact.
* Continuously track and report on project performance using KPIs and OKRs, adjusting plans and resources as necessary to stay aligned with organizational goals.
3. Cross-Team Collaboration and Technical Engagement
* Work closely with engineering leaders and technical teams to understand system architectures, technical dependencies, and potential bottlenecks.
* Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity in communication and seamless coordination.
* Facilitate structured discussions, resolve conflicts, and maintain alignment among teams with varying goals and incentives.
4. Process Optimization and Knowledge Management
* Identify inefficiencies or gaps in existing workflows, and lead initiatives to optimize processes through automation, standardization, or platformization.
* Establish and maintain a robust knowledge management system that supports the team's operational excellence and scalability.
* Drive adoption of best practices in project management across the organization by developing reusable templates, playbooks, and methodology guidelines.
5. Team Enablement and Culture Building
* Foster a high-performance project management culture by mentoring junior PMs and cross-functional team members on delivery excellence.
* Contribute to building a collaborative, transparent, and accountability-driven team environment.
* Organize and lead retrospectives and postmortems to capture lessons learned and enable continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related fields.
* A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in project/program management, preferably in internet, SaaS, or other technology-driven sectors.
* Demonstrated success in independently leading multiple complex, cross-functional projects simultaneously.
* Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly grasp new domains, understand product value, and identify business opportunities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts.
* Proven ability to influence stakeholders across various levels, from engineers to senior leadership.
* High ownership mindset, strong sense of accountability, and relentless drive for results.
* Strong analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
* Technical background or experience working closely with software engineering teams is highly desirable.
* Project Management certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, etc.) are a strong plus.
* Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and modern project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
* Familiarity with DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and software development lifecycles is a plus.
* Hands-on experience driving platform-level process improvement or internal tool development is a plus.
