Investor Relations Associate
Selby Jennings is working on behalf of a highly reputable and rapidly growing investment firm in Los Angeles specializing in private market strategies, including a targeted focus on clean energy. With over $1 billion in assets under management, the firm is seeking to expand its investor relations team by hiring a dynamic Associate to support senior fundraisers and lead initiatives that strengthen relationships with institutional investors.
Role Summary:
The Investor Relations Associate will play a key role in the firm's capital raising efforts and serve as a pivotal conduit between prospective and existing investors and the internal investment team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple functions-including fundraising communications, investor reporting, marketing, and product development-while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior fundraisers to support capital raising strategies and relationship management
- Prepare investor pitch materials, quarterly reports, and marketing collateral
- Manage investor outreach campaigns, track engagement metrics via CRM, and maintain contact pipelines
- Respond promptly and professionally to investor inquiries while coordinating cross-team reporting
- Support the planning and execution of investor meetings, roadshows, and corporate events
- Assist in marketing and product development efforts with a particular focus on aircraft leasing
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aimed at optimizing investor experience and firm visibility
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
- 2-6 years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, asset management, or private markets
- Demonstrated writing, editing, and presentation skills with a professional tone
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM systems is strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with discretion and attention to detail
