About the Role
Our client, a leading middle-market investment bank, is seeking a Vice President to join its Energy, Power & Infrastructure (EPI) team. This group provides strategic advisory services to clients across the energy value chain, including power generation, renewables, utilities, midstream, and infrastructure assets. The VP will play a key role in transaction execution, client relationship management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Transaction Execution:
- Manage all aspects of M&A processes including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, and preparation of marketing materials.
- Drive deal timelines and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships with senior executives.
- Support business development efforts through pitch preparation and idea generation.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and supervise analysts and associates, ensuring quality deliverables and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Industry Expertise:
- Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and sector developments in energy, power, and infrastructure.
- Provide strategic insights and thought leadership to clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 6-10 years of investment banking experience, with at least 3 years focused on M&A in energy, power, or infrastructure.
- Skills:
- Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise (DCF, precedent transactions, comparables).
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions under tight deadlines.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
