Overview:
Our client is leading global investment bank that is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate or Vice President to join its dynamic Metals & Mining coverage team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers on high-profile transactions while also having a hand with the practice's long-term growth. The ideal candidate has a track record of leading deal execution by providing day-to-day support to senior bankers and clients while also providing professional guidance to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the execution of complex M&A transactions and strategic advisory mandates within the metals and mining industry.
- Conduct in-depth industry research, financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations, pitch books, and transaction materials.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverable and professional development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, and internal stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics affecting the metals and mining sector.
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of investment banking experience, ideally with exposure to natural resources, industrials, or metals & mining.
- Strong technical skills in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring.
- Proven track record of deal execution and client engagement.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- SIE required, series 63 & 79 licensing required
