A prestigious buy-side hedge fund is looking for a Head of Equity Risk to lead its equity risk function. This is a senior leadership role, managing a team of analysts and working closely with investment professionals to shape the firm's equity risk strategy.
What does the role involve?
- Leading the equity risk team and overseeing day-to-day risk management across equity portfolios.
- Designing and enhancing equity risk frameworks, including stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Partnering with Portfolio Managers to provide actionable risk insights and support investment decisions.
- Presenting risk analytics to senior stakeholders and contributing to firm-wide governance.
What experience do you need?
- 10+ years of equity risk experience, must be from the buy-side (hedge fund, asset manager, or proprietary trading firm).
- Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing risk professionals.
- Strong understanding of equity markets, portfolio construction, and risk tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
