Head of Capital Formation - Private Equity
Job Overview:
A leading private equity firm with over $1B in AUM is seeking a Head of Capital Formation to lead all fundraising and investor relations efforts across the firm's private equity strategies. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive capital formation strategy, cultivating relationships with institutional investors globally, and enhancing the firm's brand in the investment community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead capital raising initiatives for new funds and co-investment vehicles.
- Build and maintain relationships with institutional LPs, including pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds.
- Develop and execute a global fundraising strategy aligned with the firm's growth objectives.
- Partner with investment teams to articulate the firm's value proposition and performance track record.
- Oversee the preparation of marketing materials, pitch decks, DDQs, and RFPs.
- Manage investor communications, reporting, and annual meetings.
- Monitor market trends and investor sentiment to inform fundraising strategy.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in capital formation, investor relations, or fundraising within private equity or alternative investments.
- Proven track record of raising institutional capital across geographies.
- Deep network of LP relationships and a strong reputation in the investment community.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CFA preferred.
