Executive Director / Director, Management Accounting
We are partnering with a leading Chinese financial institution to appoint an experienced Executive Director / Director, Management Accounting to join their finance leadership team in Hong Kong. This is a strategic opportunity for a senior finance professional to play a key role in driving business performance, financial planning, and management reporting across a complex and fast-growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the management accounting function, providing strategic financial insights and analysis to support senior management's decision-making.
- Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth strategies.
- Champion major finance transformation initiatives, including the development of management accounting frameworks, financial performance analytics, and asset-liability evaluation methodologies.
- Deliver high-quality management reports, board materials, and executive presentations with clear financial narratives and actionable recommendations.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to optimize financial performance, identify key trends, and enhance profitability.
- Ensure all reporting processes meet regulatory, governance, and listed company reporting standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant finance and management accounting experience, ideally gained within large-scale financial institutions.
- Strong expertise in management accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and variance analysis.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.
